Exchange Policy

Kindly note, we are running a store wide farewell sale. Sarees are now at or below cost price. No exchanges for any purchases.

Our Humble Request

Before you exchange a product, kindly consider how these products are made.  All our sarees are handcrafted by weavers from rural parts of our country.  A weaver, sitting in a remote village, takes 3 – 10 days to weave a saree. Depending on the complexity, he moves his hands and legs 20,000 – 50,000 times! His family’s livelihood depends on the wages he gets. Other costs include cost of yarn, threads and dyes. Machine-made sarees on the other hand, are churned in large numbers in powerlooms and are very cheap. But there is no match to either the quality or the beauty of a handloom saree.

Therefore, please do not consider an irregular weave or a stitch as a defect. Characteristic of a handloom fabric is to contain natural irregularities. This gives them a textual beauty and are hallmark of handloom products. Before placing an order, kindly browse through all provided pictures for a given product.

Exchange Terms & Conditions

If you think, you have received a wrong or a damaged product, please notify us within 48 hours from delivery.

The following products shall not be eligible for exchange, viz:

  • Weaving irregularities are hallmark of handloom products, and are not eligible for exchange
  • Minor color discrepancies between website display and product received
  • Any product that is returned without all original packaging and accessories at the time of delivery
  • Any product that has been damaged or worn by you, will not be exchanged for hygiene reasons.
  • Products on Sale are not eligible for return or exchange
  • Sarees for which blouse and/or fall/pico is done will not be exchanged and can not be returned

Only one exchange against each order is accepted i.e. products that have been bought in exchange of one product are not eligible for exchange. Return courier charges are not refundable. artison.in has the right to assess the condition of returned goods prior to offering customer an exchange. In the event of any dispute, the decision of artison.in shall be final and conclusive.

Steps to initiate an exchange

Please log a complaint about your order by sending us an email on artison.in@gmail.com mentioning reason for exchange and attach a few snapshot of the product received. We will audit the request and get back to you. If the exchange is approved, the old product has to be shipped to our warehouse within 7 days from the date of delivery. The product returned must be unworn, undamaged with folds intact along with original packing material and tags. We do not offer return shipping. We do not refund return shipping charges.

You can either chose to avail a store credit for full amount or get a refund. In case of refund, we will credit the money back to your bank account or your google pay or paytm account after deducting payment gateway and shipping charges. In case of COD, shipping charges and the COD charges charged by the courier Company will be deducted.
